Big improvement on original spout, need to poke a hole in your container for included ventPassive spout, cannot help but be better than original. Need to poke a hole in your plastic container to use the included vent assy. Choose the hole’s location carefully!

Fit my 5 gallon gas can perfect!Very happy with gas container spout. Fit perfect and arrived with one day shipping.

Way better than the cheaper knockoff versionsThis nozzle is expensive. It’s almost 2/3rds the cost of a new gas can. However, the quality is much higher than the similar knockoff versions of this. The plastic is much thicker, the rubber gasket is larger and seated better, and the cap can be tightened without skipping threads. While sort of expensive compared to no-name versions. This one has a way higher build quality….I had problems with the cheaper versions leaking.

Very handy!I know the safety features on nozzles is important. However, for someone with arthritis, even though I am 77 is still working to keep my surroundings looking nice as well as cleaning up fallen tree limbs & fence rows. This handy product just makes it a lot easier.

It fit my midwest can😀It fit my midwest can and you can put gas in a newer ford without a adapter.no spillage and well worth the money!

Somewhat tight to start with but seems to seal pretty goodNot easy at first but the thread was correct and does require some effort but pays off when there is no leaking

Pours Better than Original Vent LeaksI like that the spout came with two different sized caps with two different thread sized caps. It worked good as replacements on both my older Chilton & my newer Scepter Gas cans. The only issue I had was that even with the vent cap installed above the full gas level of can, the vent cap still leaks, just a tiny amount when transporting. Probably due to the sloshing motion created by movement. A better design, or perhaps suppling a fuel resistant adhesive, could prevent this issue. It doesn’t come with a drill supplied, nor did the instructions offer what size drill to use, to make an opening for the vent. So I measured the vent, and ended up uising a 1/2″ drill bit. The newer Scepter gas cans don’t originally have a vent. However, I found by holding the empty can upside down, it helps to keep the drilled out plastic shavings from ending up inside of the can. Most newer gas cans of this brand of gas cans have a built in screen that can’t be easily removed. Nor would I want a can without a screen to risk getting unwanted debris into the gas I’m putting in my car, or any other gas power devices. Perhaps in the future, a screen can be made already attached to the replacement spout.Even with these small issues, I’d still say these replacement spouts are a good product, and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest them to anyone wanting a replacement for an older gas can, or wanting to increse the flow rate on a newer can that pours too slowly.

Works!I purchased this for a 5 gallon gas can and it works. Recently, I’ve been searching for a spout for an older 2 gallon Blitz gas can with the pull up spout. You get gas on your fingers with that style. Bought and retuned a few spouts trying to find the correct threads. Then I remembered this spout came with two different threaded yellow caps. I tried the one I wasn’t using on my Blitz can and it worked! I purchased another one of these spouts and will get rid of the poorly designed pull up spout on the Blitz can.

Threads cause waves; buy for right applicationOverall great product but not for all purposes. Best to buy both styles to be application specific. This is a well made, good quality item as I’ve found all EZ Pour products to be which I have used since the government got involved in gas cans. This nozzle is great for refueling a vehicle or motor sport gas tank where you’re not going to overfil, but for use on a small engine snowblower or lawn mower I find that the internal threads for the cap cause ripples in the gas flow making the flow uneven and not uniform which could result in spilling. The nozzle needs to be put further into the gas tank so you can’t necessarily see when it’s full on a small engine. Great for refueling cars where the other deign with outside threads might get hung up. Best to buy both styles to be application specific.

It worksYou’d think designing a gas can spout would be easy …especially one that relies solely on the “operators” own intelligence and common sense for “safety features” …which is why I gave it 5-stars in that category and ease of use. If you can’t handle a gas can spout that isn’t gobbed over with “safety features” the likes of which only our Federal Government could mandate …then you better look elsewhere. But I digress.Making a fully functional gas can spout should be easy. Apparently the Chinese have a hard time with it. This was the *third* spout I purchased off RV (bought from different vendors) before I got one that 100% worked and had all its parts. It’s not the cheapest is probably the reason why. Forget the “cheaper brands”; spend a buck or two more and get this one where every aspect of it fits, functions and works as it should.
