Very solid cutterThis cutter has proven much better than my previous cheaper pipe cutter. It is very robust and there is no wobble in the blade resulting in a clean and accurate cut.

I ordered one part number…but was sent the wrong part number. The reason was the pictures that clearly showed the nice thumb turn handle but sent the pain being small and round. I’ve used it way too many missng to get a little dinky cutter round handle because it’s a new frail part.

Great for small spaces! My son and i were replacing our kitchen sink and repairing holes in the copper pipe underneath. Some of the pipes were very close to the back wall, so i knew my old, full-size cutter would not work. This one is small, but works very well in close quarters. Definitely worth it!

  5. Joshua Fairbanks

Much better than hack sawI don’t do a lot of plumbing but I like clean cuts and neat work. This worked fast and easy to make perfect cuts. I attempted to do with a hacksaw before but that was not only slower but not as straight.

Great little cutterGreat little tubing cutter. Works great for cutting new brake lines. I do wish seller would have sent the right one (I ordered the model 104, and got model 101) still worked for what I needed, and I got the model 101 for model 104 price…win on my part. Can’t go wrong with Ridgid products, lifetime warranty…I work in the oil field and am used to using the larger versions. Never had a problem with them, and have had warranty replacement from the local sales on several occasions.

Close-In Pipe Cutter – up to 3/4″ ID or 15/16″ OD – Made in USAMany reviews by others. For use in close -in or tight, but need about 1/2″ on both sides of cutting blade for cutter to “spin” to score & cut a pipe.Made in USA, which wasn’t expected, but great !Packaging says for hard & soft copper, brass, aluminum and PVC. Implies steel (like EMT) is not intended, but probably OK but will dull the blade.Blade is replaceable and part # is listed.

It’s a baby!Pictured above with my Ridgid 15 and a piece of 3/4” copper tubing seated inside. I bought this to cut 1/2” and 3/4” copper in places where that Ridgid 15 will not fit.It takes a few more turns to cut pipe vs. the larger and much heavier cutter, but that was to be expected and is not a problem.A couple items of note to clarify conflicting info in the Q & A and Reviews sections:- The 104 does not come with a spare cutting wheel.- The 104 does not have notched rollers. What else can I say? I love all my Ridgid wrenches and cutters.

Fantastic Product but the listing needs updating! This is a great product and works very well. Unfortunately, the photos and description in the listing seems to be a mix of two different products! I requested an exchange after I received mine, thinking it was sent by mistake, but got the exact same product again! So the knob is round, not oval as in some of the pictures and does not have a screw in the center. The description says there is an extra cutting wheel blade behind that knob which this product does not actually have and there is no screw to remove the round knob !Other than these confusing aspects of the listing, the product itself is fantastic! Get it! 5 stars if you are ok with no extra wheel blade. If the company actually reads these reviews I would appreciate being sent the extra blade!

Very compact but easy to use – great job!I don’t write a lot of reviews anymore despite how much I buy on RV (actually, I don’t write a lot of reviews anymore BECAUSE of how much I buy on RV) but I spent half a day crowing about this product to my husband.I needed something to cut the metal pipe of an RV bunk ladder I’d bought in order to make it the right height. I’ve cut PVC pipe before but not metal. I read the reviews and decided to go with this tool. I didn’t look at the dimensions when I bought it and was a little taken aback with how small it was when it arrived. But I crossed my fingers.I pulled out the ladder with its 3/4” metal pipe and then pulled out the pipe cutter. I read the instructions, marked the pipe where I wanted to cut it, and got started. You just screw the opening down so that the round rolling metal blade is reasonably tight against your mark. Then you twist the clamp (the cutter) around in a circle so that the rolling blade goes all the way around the pipe a few times. As the rotation becomes easier you tighten it again and keep rolling. You continue this process until you’ve cut through the pipe.It doesn’t take long and the cut was really clean. Since this was my first time cutting metal pipe I actually enjoyed myself. The clamp is quite small but really effective. When I was done I screwed it down for storage. When it’s completely screwed down the metal blade is protected and inaccessible. I do t hesitate to store it my tool drawer in the RV. Now I just need more opportunities to cut metal pipe.
