    Not zinc plated as shown on the photo’s. Super cheap made, black paint 🙁A guy with no idea does rate this with 5 stars! It’s not even flat on the back, means you can’t mount this somewhere without using some washers. I really doubt this holds 60lbs! I can move the joint with two fingers, it’s a very thin pure steel covert with cheap black paint…this will rust for sure, and this is WHAT YOU DON’T LIKE to have in/on your lift spring. The seller shows a zinc plated one, this one is not… I placed two orders, this one here…arrived by Purolator from Canada, and the angled spring mount does come from the USA at some day delivered by Canada Post! It takes over one week, and I paid for 2 days delivery!!! WTF?!I will return this

    Might not match exactly the pictureMechanically these seem just fine. I bought them to replace the one on our trailer that I bent. Holes all lined up just right, bolted it right in. The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because it’s clearly a stainless or zinc-plated steel color in the picture, which would be a direct replacement for what I had already, but what was actually delivered was painted black. Not the end of the world, but not exactly what I thought I was ordering. I don’t see anything in the description to suggest they are supposed to be painted.

    Not as pictured – black not silver or stainlessThe items in the picture are stamped SPD and silver in color. Then ones shipped to me look like regular metal painted black and not rust resistant. I am using these to replace SPD brackets that are silver and now have a mixed color on my boat that looks a little odd.

    Great Gas Strut Pivot PointsThese worked great! Good Quality pivot balls with firm plate attachment. I even welded one of them to another steel track plate and it bonded well…. just like good steel does. One thing though…..these arrived painted Gloss Black…so they’re not the galvanized steel look as in the RV photo. I mated these up with a Gas Strut: 20 inches in length extended, 12 inches in length compressed, with a pushing force of 10Lbs, purchased on RV from Red Hound Auto. I used them to horizontally open a storage area door(and keep it open) above my Workshop bathroom. The actual door probably weighs 75-90 lbs, but don’t get confused on the Strut force of only 10 lbs…..as I said, the strut opens the door horizontally, so it’s not supporting the weight of the door. The door is about 10 feet above my head and I needed a way to remotely swing the door open, and stay open, while I accessed the storage area with a ladder. I’ll get a short video of the mechanism uploaded…I think you’ll like this door concept.
