This works as advertised. I know. I use it all the time.I live in North Carolina. My porch faces a deep ravine covered by forest with a creek at the bottom. It is not a question of if there will be mosquitoes but can I make it to the door without being eaten. Since I purchased my Radius a year ago I have been able to sit out in the evenings and read and listen to the forest sounds without being bothered by mosquitoes. I get the 40 hour refills because I know they work. I keep an extra one in my pantry and reorder when I use it. I have given friends and family a Radius as gifts. I am 66 yrs old and have never seen anything that works like this. When used as directed it works. Don’t expect coverage for a 400 sq ft deck. If the wind is blowing the mosquitoes are usually gone. If you want a place at your grill or between two chairs on your deck that is bug free this is the way to go. It takes 5-10 minutes to build up the area of protection but it works.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!These are great ! So glad these are available. We live in the south and spend a good deal of time on our patio. These work fantastic for keeping mosquitos away! We also have the thermacell that use the butane cartridges but these are much more economical since you recharge with a cord. Had a slight ordering issue from RV but I contacted Thermacell and they made it right the same day. Wonderful customer service.

a few design issues…first off i think the product works well enough, i’m just a bit annoyed at storing the unused product.the refill comes with a plastic ‘lid’ that snaps into place. my issue is that with the lid on you can’t keep the refill in the base station since the lid won’t fit with it in place, and the rounded bottom means you can’t sit it up on your shelf. i’m paranoid that the repellent will leak out if the refill isn’t standing up even with the lid on.ultimately i wish i could store the refill in the diffuser long term without needing to take out the cartridge, finding the flimsy cap, etc. Also the ‘control’ sucks

Alaska MosquitoesI purchased two of these to use in the summer in Alaska. We have mosquitoes that will swarm you and make you run from your truck to the house as fast as possible. We are able to sit comfortably on the front porch and eat. No mosquitoes in sight. We are very pleased.

This works but like all solutions has drawbacks. This does work well on mosquitos without causing environmental (or pet) concerns. It works better if you let it run for a bit before you dive into the mosquito territory. That said – it’s estimated that each pod lasts 40 hours – how does one track that? Do you put a sticker on the side of the device and put a hashtag every time an hour passes? The machine doesn’t beep or alert you when it’s run out. It also will run all night long and waste your expensive product if you forget to turn it off and bring it in when your evening ends. Perhaps future generations of the device will sync to your phone and remind you like parking spaces….
