Great productGreat Engineering and a must to have product when you lose grid power or if you are a camper. You can recharge many of your tools quite efficiently. Use for your laptop or desktop. With 1000Watt power you can run your computer for 9-10 hours, your LED desktop lamp for almost 100hours. You can use your electrical portable oven, deep fryer which typically consume 300-500watts for a few hours. Solar panel charging can last 9 hours on a sunny day.

Really works and works really wellAmazed by this combo, got battery & solar pannels. Charges average fast, stays charged when not in use, love all the variety of outlets\plugs, sturdy material, super easy to use, no brainer. Convenient, practical, tested all kinds of appliances according to voltage and I’m really amazed how well it works. Only little surprise, power tools & lamps work slower or less bright even if they’re under the allowed wattage. Still charges a bit even if cloudy, so always try to use the pannels even in so-so weather. Very pleased overall.

Very efficient, reliable to run 12v fridge, phones, light cooking devicesVery good powerstation. Very efficient. 935 usable wh on 1008wh. It runs my 12v fridge for 5 entire days at 41F in ambiant 77F temp. The fridge use 10% per 12hours , 20% per day or exactly 7,79w per hours. It charges all phones and tablet. It is very lightweight.I bought a anderson extension 10FT to extend the 10FT factory cable of the solar panels. The panels are very good quality, lightweight, good looking, solid with velcro foot and bag to hold the junction and cable fixed to the panel. The javkery charge at 120-125wh in the sun. So it is limited by the embedded mppt charger, however you can exploit more the panel by plugging directly 2 phones or tablet and charge the jackery 1000. It does not reduce the jackery charging. Overall a good product. I just would like more inverter wattage capacity, faster charging ac and more solar charging like the jackery 1500 which is probably a better deal. However the jackery 1000 is the most lightweigh solar generator of 1000w minimum.

I’m like a child opening my eyes for the first time…Wow, this changes everything. I was doing a powerless build in my truck but thought “Oh, wouldn’t it be nice to have a lil’ battery. Isn’t this Jackery idea quaint?” I received it and mind blown. So many things are possible now without going full solar. CPAP, clothing spinner, small heater, instapot, charging galore, tv, computer, lights, RV fridge, so many possibilities. I’m deeply satisfied with this product on a Zen-like level.

max solar charge is only 123w, not 200w as described on website, also solar panel is not water proofnot sure why my review doesn’t show up, have to write it again.if u plan to buy one for emergency use and require 200w solar charging, then this one will disappoint you.it can only charge at 123w, even if both solar panels can charge at 100w in full sun. if u use only panel, it can charge 100w, but if u put two together, only charge 123w. quite disappointing.also, solar panel not water proof.in the process of returning it now, since the website description of 200W max input is wrong. if they put correct info, 123w max solar input there, i won’t buy it in the first place.

Jackerys vs GeneratorsJust started using solar for the first time 3 months ago and bought the 500 & solar panel package. All my power needs are to be a easy carryall portable system so the light weight and foldable solar panels fit that need perfectly. A solar system only takes 1/4th the storage area vs a gas gen & gas can which is a huge benefit when camping out of a conversion van. The 500 is all the power I really need for my weekend outings, but now spoiled on the size, weight, and virtually no maintenance that comes with going solar vs gas generators. I sold my Honda 2000w portable gas generator and bought this Jackery 1000 & duel solar panel package for home use power outages backup system as well as getting power to my upper backyard gazebo in pic. And keeping my small 1000w gas gen just in case I need to charge the Jackerys in a power outage on the few cloudy days we have here in Southern California.

Make sure you are buying what you need!We bought the Jackery 1000 bundle with 2 solar panels directly from Jackery (sorry RV), based on great customer reviews, and thought we would be happy. The unit seems like it would work well, with one very important exception, at least for us. We live in northern New York where ice storms can take down power for days or even weeks at a time. As my wife has medicines that HAVE TO BE KEPT COOL, we bought this as a back-up in case we lose power, hoping it would run a small refrigerator to keep her medicines cold. I’m sure the unit would power the refrigerator short term, but herein lies the problem (for us). The solar panels CANNOT get wet with rain, ice, sleet or snow, so they cannot be used outside in inclement weather. If you place the panels behind a large picture window, it greatly reduces the charging power of the panels, and would quite likely be unable to keep the battery charged. The part that irritates us the most is that nowhere on RV’s nor Jackery’s website does it display this information. We did not learn of this unit’s limitations until the package arrived and we poured over the enclosed literature. Lowe’s has a similar powered unit for half the price ($1,999.99) that has weather-proof, roof mountable solar panels. Had we known then what we know now, we never would have bought the Jackery 1000 bundle.

Day 2 and still impressingI happened on the smaller model as I’m a full time RV’er. Showed it to my son after some research he upped me to the 1000. Day 1 I ran my single serve coffee, high watts 800 while heating the water but you don’t use all day so that short burst only took me down to 96% Charged all of my electronics, laptop phone etc. Ran my desktop computer and TV for a couple of hours, then the TV and dvd player for several hours more in the evening. Brought it down to 55% then in the morning another cup of coffee. Went out about 6:30 and set up both panels 2:30 100% again! I have to add I live in the deserst so lots of sun. A week ago before I got this it was cold and windy for 2 days and I ran my generator about 6 hours each day. Cost me almost half of a tank of gas. Now I can do most everything but the heater and it costs nothing (bought a propane heater) problem solved. This is going to give me the freedom to travel more as now I save gas no generator. FYI I’m handicapped and its light and easy for me to manage so 2 thumbs up! Only ding, I wish the cables to the solor panels were longer. My son set the unit up on a shelf in my RV to make plugging things in easy for me, I’m able to place panels outside easy enough but as the sun moves and shadows fall I have to keep moving panels and a bit longer cord would have allowed me to lay them flat in one space all day.

In chargeAfter researching every option, manufactures as well as reading reviews and watching videos we purchased the Jackery 1000 power station and two Jackery 100 watt solar panels. I wanted to have a solar unit on our camping trips as well as for possible emergencies at home as a quiet and reliable back up to our gas generator. The Jackery arrived with a 39% charge out of the box. I read the directions and set up the panels on my balcony facing the sun the next morning. It is a very easy set-up. I turned the panels as the sun moved across the sky to optimize the rays hitting the surface of the panels as directly as possible about every 15-20 minutes. We’re in Southern California and it was a clear December day. With both panels connected I was pulling in about 135 watts to the Jackery. By early evening, an hour before sunset the J1000 was fully charged. My only rub is for $1600 + dollars you would think Jackery would throw in a carrying case for the station… You have to order it separate. A cooler bag will work fine for much less. Also, the panels do not have a carrying case. They have no protection when on the move. I purchased a artists canvas portfolio bag. Keep the cardboard box the panels came in put it in the portfolio, and voila! A protective carrying case for the panels. I’m going to get an additional Jackery 1000 to use while one is charging as a backup while running our 12V fridge. The Jackery seems to be the best option until new technology arrives.Update, 6 months later: Upon using The J1000 to run our 53qt. 12V camping refrigerator/freezer the results are in.We started with a full 100% charge on the J1000. The refrigerator compressor fired right up and began cooling. After 24 hours the reading on the J1000 was 80% charge. Periodically I opened the fridge to check and simulate actual use. After 48 hours it was at 40% with, of course, 20% power remaining. This means mathematically we can run the fridge approximately 60 hours on the J1000 without recharging on one power station. Excellent. I have purchased another J1000 as a back up while the other is charging. That should easily give us 4-5 days without even recharging. If you are considering a solar power unit, I don’t believe you’ll go wrong with the Jackery line. I’m very picky and critical of commercial products and have surprisingly pleased, so far, with Jackery. BTW: Most important, their customer service is second to none, having contacted them with questions and experiencing quick responses. I’m an avid camper, prepper, actual paying customer, and user. No axes to grind, no bs.
