Muy recomendadoLo únicos sensores que he probado para ventanas y puertas, bastante funcionales. Incluye todo para que el sensor pueda detectar correctamente aún cuando no está bien cuadrada la puerta.

Great product but you won’t find a replacement battery in CanadaThese were great their first year as they came with a battery that lasted 10-12 months. Easy to setup & immediate notifications in HomeKit, but it quickly went downhill. The ER14250 battery is not readily available for purchase in brick and mortar stores in Vancouver, and my only option was via RV. I purchased three brands of this battery via RV and all arrived with no/minimal charge. I don’t know if they were old/heated/? but the end result is I cannot find a battery in Canada to allow these sensors to function. I now have three sensors that I cannot source a power supply. I wish Eve had not designed/engineered these with a rare battery choice.Update: I found ER14250 batteries from a local store that specializes in batteries and my sensors are working again. Hopefully these last ~10-12 months like the originals.

Scares the boogers & wild critters away at night before Andy goes outsideAndy (9lb Shitzu) goes out back to the bathroom …that’s a good thing. Lots of training. We live in a rural area. A backyard excursion can encounter fox, cats, big cats, skunks…oh my. We added this contact sensor to our back door. When it opens, my Homekit routine turns on 5 separate lights to scare the boogers away. Andy pees safely…all is well. Routine turns off the lights after 10 minutes. Boogers return.

Reliable & fast contact sensor trigger w/threadI’ve got HomePod Minis and Eve Energy devices so I’m using the Eve Door & Window with thread. They come with plenty of spacers to adjust the non-battery powered passive part of the contact sensor. So depending on your door or whatever, most people should find a way to make these work. The battery cover is hard to install and feels like you’re forcing it on — so I’m concerned that battery replacement might be frustrating. So try to be sure there’s a way to remove the active sensor from the battery door, which is done by sliding away the sensor body. Those are the only negative things I can say about these devices.Importantly, the both my Window and Door contact sensors already had the new Thread firmware (purchased in July 2021). So I did not need to upgrade their firmware. At first when I added an Eve contact sensor, it didn’t trigger automations reliably. So I rebooted all my Eve Energy and HomePod devices. Since then they’ve been working flawlessly, every time, and near instantly. I have one contact sensor that turns on the hallway lights when the closet doors are opened, and turns them off when closed. I have another sensor on a slider that we only open up to let fresh air in. So I set up an automation to put our Ecobee into away mode to keep the AC or heat from turning on when we have the windows open. They’ve been extremely fast, triggering within a second of opening or closing. By using the Eve app I can see that so far these contact sensor Thread end-points are relaying their activity to an Eve Energy thread router that is about 30-40 feet away with several walls. That’s impressive range and I’m surprised they’re not routing through closer HomePod Minis or NanoLeaf Essentials bulbs. I plan on buying more of these devices soon as I can think of more practical, life improving things to do with them 🙂

Works wellUsed it for a light automation in a walk-in closet. Easy to install, works great with HomeKit.

  9. I.M.

Great HomeKit integrationSuper easy to add to HomeKit, without forcing you to download another app. Working great so far!

But pricey but worth it.I’ve had it for a few months and I haven’t had any issues. I have it connected by thread not Bluetooth. Battery is still 100% so thread is a good battery saver. You can see when the door/window was open and closed and for how long.I’d recommend just wish it was more affordable so I can buy more.

  11. Kris Stoker

Easy to setup and Thread compatible!Had all three installed in less than 15 minutes and connected to HomeKit! Thread makes it SUPER fast too!

CompatibilityI’m using these to turn on the lights in the closet when I open the door. It works perfectly with the Nanoleaf essential bulbs. Only complaint is it’s hard to get the back plate attached to the sensor. I’m a little worried about that when it comes time to change the battery.
