Description
BougeRV solar connectors allow you to connect a solar panel to the controller. When you connect two solar panels (when connectors are needed at both ends of the cable), you can use the included extra connector. These 10AWG solar cables extend built-in cables. They feature IP67 waterproof connectors and tinned pure copper cable cores minimize any power loss of the solar panel system.
You can easily separate the two solar connectors by pressing and holding the built-in lock. This design is very easy to connect and remove. Using high-quality PVC material, these solar cables provide anti-shock and anti-ultraviolet radiation protection. With waterproof rings, the male and female solar connectors can be tightly connected to prevent moisture from entering the connectors and ensure the efficient operation of the system. Problem with customer supportI’ve contacted Bougerv support on several occasions asking for instructions on how which cable ends go to which cables. Once the metal connectors are crimped, I might not be able to undo the crimp if I put a connector on the wrong cable. The last time I asked to get information, they transferred my request to RV.

Decent CableI bought this cable after having run a bit short while doing a solar project. It’s composed of an outer jacket surrounding an inner one. While this adds more protection, it did make it a bit more work to strip. The only (slight) negative to this cable was that it’s a bit stiffer than the other brand that I had bought. I would buy it again.

Preinstalled connectors didn’t workI wired these up to my solar panels (with the preinstalled connectors) and charge controller and… nothing! At first I thought my solar panel crimps/connectors must be incompatible with the included connectors, so I cut the old connectors off my panels and replaced them with the included set of connectors. Wired those up and… nothing! I grabbed my multimeter out and checked for continuity, and found the wires were fine. Finally I took the perfectly good crimps I’d just cut off my panels, removed the preinstalled crimps from these wires, and replaced them with my old connectors that worked and I finally got a connection! Two stars because the wires were fine, but whoever installed the preinstalled connectors didn’t do me any favors. Would have rather had the wires arrive without connectors, it would have saved me from unnecessarily removing the perfectly good connectors off my panels.
