Lightweight and waterproof.It’s a useful little light that is lightweight and convenient in terms of its shape. I’m not satisfied with the brightness and the slow solar charge. However, I like that it’s light weight and water proof with its clever design. I’ve even tried to wash it too and it still works well. Just hope the next version will charge quicker under the sun.

A good idea.This product is a great idea and supporting a good idea leads to more. I was hoping to get some free phone charges from it but as the instructions say charging it through a glass window reduces efficiency. Due to the season and typical variable British weather I’m worried about leaving it outside whilst I’m away but the charge light does come on. I’d recommend it as an emergency or camping light but I’ve yet to prove the ability of the extra capacity battery to charge up and recharge other devices yet.

Battery life is good, very handyI used this on a camping trip out in the desert, and I was glad I brought this along. At full brightness, the Luminaid will light up your tent like it’s midday. I used it more on the lower settings for reading or doing some small tasks and the lamp was perfect for it. The velcro strap can be used to make it hang from the top of the tent. I didn’t run out of battery over a 2 day trip, but I did set the lamp outside in the sun to help charge it as much as I could. I don’t know how much it helped. I had 2 dots of battery left when I finished my trip.I will say that I do have my concern on the longevity of the product since getting the plug out to inflate can be tough. It almost felt like I was about to rip the lamp open while trying to get the inflation nipple to pop up. Just be careful so that way you don’t damage your lamp.

Bring a flashlight. 100% failure rate among 4 purchasedThese are amazing, but disposable. I’ve had four of these, and none of them has managed to work more than four times. When they work, they are amazing, but they should be marketed as disposable items, as within the first six uses, they die completely: One day you will turn it off, and it simply won’t turn on again.I honestly don’t understand how a simple “Solar panel->switch->LED” circuit can have such a high failure rate, and yet it does.You will LOVE this item, but no more than five times. Then, it will leave you cursing the darkness.

I love this!!!I bought several of these to take to Africa. I am so glad I did!!! We ended up using them all the time. They are able to be charged with the sun, but it does take a while to fully charged this way. I charged mine when the power was on and then was able to use it for several days. It has the ability to adjust the brightness and save power on a lower setting. It’s light weight, waterproof and able to pack easily. We used it as a lamp and it worked for an entire room, it it bright enough to read at night. I had it by my bed and also used it as a flashlight. When we left, we gave them to the locals that didn’t have electricity and they were thrilled.

Delivers the lightMy home has a single point of failure for electricity. Add in 40+ year old trees disguising the lines and you have a recipe for a long outage.A couple days ago I had a major outage. The units had been in a closet for months. Blew them up and hit the switch. Instant light. Removed bulbs from standing lights and suspended the cubes inside the shades. Result was a room illuminated. For hours at the highest setting.Easy enough to cart about the house as well.To be certain it is not a replacement for a 100w incandescent. But if you have nothing, it is something.Saved me from having to use my cell phone light to see where I was going and conserve that charge to nag the power company. When I needed light LuminAID delivered.My only quibble is the recharge time. I had the units in direct sun for a couple hours and the status lights never seemed to budge. Fortunately power returned so I recharged via USB connection to be ready for the next outage.

Hike with LuminAID in Taiwan!We would like to recommend LuminAID when you are going to wild; we live in Taiwan and walking into over 3000m mountain for long days. The LuminAID is good assistance, it bring light at night and re-charger my iPhone 8+.

You need this.I just moved into my new place and found out that this 100 year old house has the lights go out in winter at times. I bought this for camping, but thought this would be great in a power outage. It really lights up my entire room. It also has four different brightness settings, and a blinking light for emergencies. I will be ordering another one to keep in my truck. I highly recommend this light, it’s so much more then I thought it would be. Since I bought this I’ve had to use it twice because of power shut down do to fire hazard in our area. This light throws enough light to completely brighten my small craft room, where I bunk down, and charge my phone at night. I have also charged my USB lights from this. I use it at night, charge by the sun while I’m at work running off of generators and come home and plug in when I’m low. Great product.

Great light, odd detailsOverall I am very pleased with the LuminAID PackLite 2-in-1 phone charger lantern. It sets up and charges in a jiffy, one good lung full of air inflates it, and the controls are simple. It really lights up a space, and charges devices with no problems! I got this for an upcoming two week camping trip with a lot of hiking, so I needed something that would light up the picnic table (without being obnoxious about it) and could recharge while we are out hiking. A couple of details, however: 1) one, it does NOT lie flat. The inflation valve (see photo1) sticks out of the bottom, and this doesn’t show in any of the ‘official’ photos, and is hidden in the videos (by always showing it hanging slightly off something or by placing it on a soft surface like a blanket). 2) The ‘off’ button is at the end of cycle of light options. Meaning, one click to turn it on to the maximum brightness, 3 more clicks for lesser white light, 1 more click for the ‘flicker’ effect (cute, but probably won’t use it much), and THEN the click that turns the lantern off. 3) The body of the lantern is made of shower curtain material, and you know what that smells like when you first open the package! Plan to have your lantern ahead of time and give it a couple of days for the plastic to ‘outgas’. Overall though, excellent product and I am very pleased!

Not charging properly or storing charge; items returned.Very disappointed. I purchased multiple LuminAID products recently (4 Spectras, 2 Novas and 1 Supercharger). I had no problem with the Spectras, but after initially testing the 2 Novas and the Supercharger, I left them in full sunlight for over 2 days straight and they still only recharged about halfway as indicated by the charge meter (2 out of 4 on the meter). I live in South Florida and purchased these to store at home and on my boat for emergencies. I’m very glad I tested them in advance before finding out down the line that they were either not producing sufficient energy to recharge the battery, or that the batteries were simply not holding the charge. Should not take more than 2 days of direct sun to recharge the batteries fully as opposed to halfway.
