Have an 89 258 Jeep with Dual Fuel (gas/propane)Propane, well where the mixer is with the air filter? There was a coolant hose right in front of my air filter. Big deal? No, but it is hot ambient air right in front of my filter, lol. Slapped this on and you can touch it now, that’s how much it went down. Now, I’m gonna do the rest of the vehicle. My Jeep is kinda hot rodded, but obviously not setting speed records, lol. But I’m out to make power with efficiency. Keep hot things warm, things that like to be cold cool. This is a great way to do it.

DEI 5/8” ID protective sleeve fits snug over 8x13mm hose or 5/16 fuel hose for a diy project on my bmw. The section of hose I was replacing had rotten out and the dealer/parts store were asking too much for that small section of hose that came insulated so therefore i searched up my next best option for heat protecting my own off the shelf fuel line. And it turned out great. Just be aware of the fiber glass fibers inside this shielding which can becomes messy rather annoyingly quickly if it’s your first time handling fiberglass. Be prepared, have gloves when handling this stuff. They give you a rubber like tape to seal off the ends from fraying also to prevent the loose fibers from creating any mess I decided to use marine heat shrink tubing that I had laying around and I must say I’m pleased with the outcome and will be soon doing the remaining part lines covering it with this stuff 🙂

Perfect for keeping my fuel lines and oil line away from the heat. Great blocker, I have no complaints

HARD TO CUT, WITHOUT GETTING LITTLE BITS OF FIBERGLASS SPLINTERING OUT WHEN CUT. BUT IT DID THE JOB .

This is perfect for protecting the air lines to my wastegate from melting. No more over boosting 🙂

I used this to wrap around my rubber break line o 63 Fairlane. The over axle bend from exhaust was a little to close for my comfort. I cut a 5″ piece in half and zip tied around line. Outer material is rubber, good thickness. About month of use and going good.
