moves the poop. This kit had nearly everything I needed to empty tanks in a backyard trailer. The included adapter hooked directly to the sewer cleanout in front of our house. I added a clear elbow to monitor progress and 150′ of 3/4″ hose, plus another supply hose for flush water.Grey water tank dump is easy; have had some problems with it overheating when doing multiple flush passes on the black water tank, which have been partly mitigated with the addition of a SHURflo 34-007 heat sink (not, alas, available on amazon).System can stay sealed most of the time – you need only touch valves and the pump switch if your vehicle has a single dump output.

I have a camper that I really like (Cirrus 800} but of courseThis turned out to be the solution to a nagging problem that made boondocking in my truck camper always problematic. I would always narrow my preferences in choosing a truck camper to ones with a cassette toilets, because they allowed for camping without needing to find a dump station. The problem was that there is a very limited selection of truck campers that come equipped with one. Now, I have a camper that I really like (Cirrus 800} but of course, it has holding tanks and no cassette toilet. I knew that you can access the clean out to the sewer line at your house, but the clean out where I live sits at a higher elevation than the driveway and there is no way to park the camper at the same elevation – it’s all up hill. I didn’t think there was a solution to that problem until I started reading about it and found this product on MyMotorhomeLife.I just came back from a 2 night stay in some woods with 2 full holding tanks as I had been out previously and had filled the tanks some then. I had anticipated going to a state park soon, but had been getting tired of being dependent on making reservations at a state park just for the convenience of dump stations because they have lost their appeal to me awhile ago with their reservation polices and the general noise and crowds. The Clean Dump had come in this last week, so I was ready to try it out when I got in this afternoon. I followed directions connecting an extra 20′ of hose to it so it could reach the clean out above the driveway. It worked like a charm and was able to pump the contents of both holding tanks up hill into the clean out without any problems at all. I now feel that I can expand where I want to go without needing to worry about dump stations anymore.

Resolved the 120′ distance to my septic tank problem. We are permanently parking the RV on our acreage, and I did not want to dig a new septic field. There was no slope to speak of, so gravity was not an option. I bought the removeable version, but it is easy to install and perhaps replace if it ever breaks. I connected the 20′ hose to a 100′ of 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe laid flat on the ground buried very shallow, which worked very well.I’ve never owned or lived an RV before, so there are idiosyncrasies like black and gray water holding tanks. So one has to get into a habit of regularly emptying them, and now turning on the macerator pump, all in the proper order, but it isn’t too bad. Also, I suggest using a treatment in the black tank. We had a clogged line that was a job to fix, and the pump won’t work if it’s not getting to it.

Pumps great at 60 feetI bought this unit mainly to use when using the camper at home. The home sewer line clean out is 60 feet from where we store the camper. This unit easily pumps the tank contents over level ground through a 1″ hose 60 feet. I would imagine it would not have a problem pumping 100 feet over level ground. The other reason I bought this is for when we camp at a site that does not have a sewer hookup and the dump station is far from the campsite. I have one of the blue totes that I use to drain the tanks and tow it to the dump station. One site we frequently camp is Edisto beach which does not have full hookups. The dump site at Edisto is about 1 mile down a sometimes busy highway and it gets scary sometimes towing the tote down the highway at 10 mph with traffic backing up or zooming past. Now I can keep the tote in the bed of the truck, pump the tank contents up in to the tote and drive at the speed limit to the dump station. Overall very happy with the purchase, we’ll see how long it lasts but it seems well made.

Works as AdvertisedI bought this macerator pump kit because we have to pump uphill to dump at our home. It works very well for that purpose and I thought it would work for our general camping use but found that not to be the case. It absolutely works as it is designed to work but with one drawback. Thus the 4 stars. We spend 3 to 4 months a year in our fifth wheel, sometimes staying up to a month in one location. We have a washer/dryer on board and it can go thru some water so I like to keep our grey tank open while the wife is washing clothes. With the slinky hose I could leave it open but with the macerator I can’t because there is no way for the water to flow thru without turning it on. I did see a video on how to rig a bypass but it is very cumbersome and requires some modification of the pump. It would be nice if Flojet could design a way to allow grey water to flow thru without turning it on.

pump failureI bought this system in August 2018. I was very impressed with the product, the simplicity of installation, and general performance. We have used it four times when emptying our RV tanks and it worked great until today. It blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew it again. I replaced the fuse again and the fuse did not blow but the pump will not run. I used the manual screw on the bottom of the pump and turned it with a screwdriver but the pump will not run. The return window is closed. The manufacturer says it is warranted for 12 months but that it must be returned to the vendor. Since it is a used sewer/waste pump it is considered a biohazard. I need a new pump, this one is still under warranty, but I have no way to return it.
