This 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand-drive pickup that was acquired by the selling dealer in Turkey and subsequently modified before being imported to the US in 2021. The truck was refinished in satin black over matching upholstery and converted to a camper by Monarch Defender with a custom-built aluminum shell featuring a pop-out roof and side panel as well as storage compartments and a retractable awning. 

This impressive-looking truck is powered by a carbureted 3.5-liter V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional features include a 2″ lift with Terrafirma shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, a winch, an air conditioning unit, a roof rack, solar panels, a generator, dual lithium-ion batteries, an external kitchen, a portable toilet, LED lighting, recovery tracks, and jerry cans.

The body was removed from the frame and reportedly fitted with a new roof, hood, doors, and fenders before being repainted in satin black Standox paint. The windows and seals are also said to have been replaced. The aftermarket front bumper features a winch, a roller fairlead, and a light bar. Additional accessories include headlight guards, a roof rack with Hella Rally 3000 lights and jerry cans, checker-plate trim, and mud flaps. Black 16″ steel wheels with a -50 offset wear 265/75 Fedima F-Mud tires, and a smaller spare is mounted to the hood.

The custom-built aluminum camper shell features a pop top, an extending side panel, a retractable awning, and a ladder that stows away beneath. Recovery tracks are mounted to a side panel that opens to reveal a mini fridge, faucet, stove, and eight-gallon water tank. Solar panels and a generator support two lithium batteries.

The cabin features replacement seats upholstered in black and a center console with a matching lid. A new headliner and dashboard were reportedly installed along with sound deadening material and gray carpets. Amenities include an aftermarket stereo, aluminum shifter knobs, a heated windshield, and cupholders.

The leather-trimmed aftermarket steering wheel frames a digital instrument panel including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 300 miles since installation. Total chassis mileage is unknown.

The interior of the camper features inward-facing seats upholstered in gray cloth. The driver-side panel swivels out to create a bed, and the roof pops up with canvas sides. Storage cubbies line the upper edges and left rear wall, and an electrical control station is positioned at the right rear. A no-idle air conditioner is mounted up front, while the portable toilet and generator are stowed beneath the bench seat.

The 3.5-liter V8 has been fitted with remanufactured cylinder heads as well as an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. The fuel tank and lines have been replaced. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through an LT85 five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

The chassis was refinished during the refurbishment. Braking is handled by front and rear ventilated discs with four-piston calipers, and the truck is equipped with a Jeep-derived power steering system as well as a leveling unit mounted to the rear differential. The 2″ Terrafirma lift kit features dual shocks at each rear corner.
